NJ Home Sale Checklist is free to use. Here is how it is, and will be, paid for, and the rules we hold ourselves to.

## Today

* Nothing is for sale. Every listing is free and built from official public records.
* [Quote requests](https://njhomesalechecklist.com/quotes/) are free for homeowners, and listed businesses don't pay for them today. Each request goes to up to 3 of the nearest contractors with a published email (or the one you picked plus the 2 nearest others).
* Listings are ordered by location and name. No one can pay to appear higher, to get a license badge, or to have a competitor removed.

## Planned

* **Featured placements**, clearly labeled "Ad", shown alongside, never instead of, the full free list.

## Our rules

* Paid or not, every listing must match a current official record.
* Guides and cost pages are written independently of advertisers and cite their sources.
* If we ever earn a referral fee from a link, the link will say so.
