This policy covers NJ Home Sale Checklist (njhomesalechecklist.com, "we"). **What changed on Oct 31, 2026:** NJ Home Sale Checklist now takes quote requests. We keep a copy of each quote request (the details you submit, the contractors it went to and the date) to run and improve the service. We don't sell it. The quote form also has a separate, optional box (unchecked by default) for home-sale tips and offers from NJ Home Sale Checklist; we only send those to people who check it. See "Tips and offers" below. ## Quote requests - **What you enter:** your name, email, optionally your phone, the ZIP code of the property, the service you need and an optional note. - **Who gets it:** when you check the consent box and submit, we send your request by email to **up to 3 NJ DCA-certified lead evaluation contractors** near that ZIP code (if you picked one, that one and up to 2 others nearby). Only they get your contact details. We email you a list of who we contacted. - **What we keep:** we keep a copy of each quote request: the details you submit (your name, email, phone if given, ZIP code, the service you need and any note), who it went to and the date. We use it to run and improve the service, and we don't sell it. We only use it to send you home-sale tips and offers if you opt in (below). Our server also keeps routing records: a request ID, the date and time, state, first three digits of your ZIP, the service requested and who was contacted. These records are kept for up to about 13 months. - **Email delivery:** requests are sent through our email provider, SendGrid (Twilio), which processes the message to deliver it and keeps delivery logs under its own retention policy. The contractors that receive your request keep it under their own policies; contact them directly to ask them to delete it. - **Spam protection:** the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and per-connection rate limits. To rate-limit, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for about an hour. ## Tips and offers (optional) - **Only with your opt-in:** the quote form has a second, optional box, unchecked by default: "Also send me home-sale tips and offers from NJ Home Sale Checklist." Your quote request goes through whether or not you check it. - **What we store if you opt in:** your name, email, phone (if you gave one), ZIP code, the service you asked about and the date you opted in, plus which listing you picked (if any), the page you used and the version of the opt-in wording you agreed to. We don't store your IP address with it. - **Unsubscribe or delete:** you can unsubscribe at any time, or ask us to delete your details, by emailing hello@njhomesalechecklist.com. - **Not sold:** we don't sell this list. ## Listing claims and corrections The listing request form opens your own email app; we receive only what you send us, and use it to verify and process the request. ## Usage data Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability. We don't use advertising cookies. ## Analytics We use Google Analytics to collect aggregate usage statistics (pages viewed, the place searches you enter, how the search and quote or listing forms are used, and which listing links are clicked) so we can improve the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address and browser details; we never send it your name, email, phone, address or anything you type into a form field. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and we don't use it for advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics doesn't load at all. We don't use advertising cookies. ## What we don't do - We don't sell your personal information. - We don't share quote requests with anyone other than the matched contractors and our service providers (Cloudflare for hosting and form processing, SendGrid for email delivery, Google for the email inbox where we keep our copy of each request). - We don't text or call you, and the contractors don't get permission to text you through this form. ## Business listings Listings come from public records (see [About our data](https://njhomesalechecklist.com/about-our-data/)). Listed businesses receive homeowner requests by email; every request email has a one-click link to stop receiving them, and businesses can claim, correct or remove their listing at any time. ## Your choices Questions or deletion requests: email [hello@njhomesalechecklist.com](mailto:hello@njhomesalechecklist.com) or use the [contact page](https://njhomesalechecklist.com/contact/). Email us to have our copy of your quote request deleted, or, if you opted in to tips and offers, to unsubscribe or have your stored details deleted. We can't retrieve or delete what the contractors received; contact the ones listed in your confirmation email. ## Changes to this policy We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes to how quote requests are shared will be highlighted at the top of this page before they take effect.
